Well, today will be my 3 week progress check. I can't say that I'm really looking forward to it. I keep a daily log of my food intake so I know what my calorie consumption and expenditures are and it ain't pretty. Week one was phenomenal, week two was okay, week three was horrible, see the breakdown below:
Week 1: 930 calorie deficit
Week 2: 765 calorie deficit
Week 3: 934 calorie overage
To be fair, I didn't have access to my treadmill week 3 which could have brought me to a deficit or at least neither an overage or deficit. My workouts are worth that much to my regime. Nothing can be done now. I'm not going to beat myself up- when I've done that in the past the whole thing goes out the window. Just dust myself off and get back on board. I will still take my measurements and weigh myself tonight.
Not All Bad
One thing to keep in mind is that I'm not eating the calorie overages like I used to. Looking back on my log book it was not out of the question for me to go 700-900 calories over daily on weekends- I have managed to reign that in to overages of less than 400 calories daily. I need to stay focused on what I am accomplishing to make sure I don't get overwhelmed and just give up.
