First Week...Not too Shabby

I really started living a healthier lifestyle 1 week ago today and I have to say I haven't done too badly. As usual the weekend is the worst time but it was nothing compared to what I used to do. Sunday was the only real day that hurt. I managed to have a calorie defecit everyday except Sunday, I went over by 487 calories. OUCH! At least it's Monday again, so I'm back on track.

Measuring Progress
I've decided to mimic some one of my favourite shows: Bulging Brides/ The Last 10 pounds bootcamp and take my weight and measurements every 3 weeks. Weighing yourself too often can be really demotivating as it can take a long time for changes to show. I'm hoping the 3 week mark works well.

Desert Progress
I didn't really eat desert during the past week. I did however have desert on Saturday and Sunday and I have to say -- not nearly as enjoyable as I remembered. This is such good news!

I had an apple blossom at our work golf tournament and last night I got an ice cream of which I didn't eat very much and gave it to my boyfriend I found it sweet, heavy and unenjoyable. I would have been much happier with a lime sorbet! (it was mint chocolate chip)
