The last 3 days have gone really well, I have decided to try a new approach. I'm usually a very high stress, uber organized person (to a fault). I am going to try to get fit a little more slowly a give myself a break. I heard the other day on the news that it is better to reduce calories by only 100-200 calories per day instead of the 500 calories a day defecit that we always here. Why is it better? It is easier to maintain and is easier on the body. Now, if your health was at risk that may be another story. I'm already petite and just trying to tone up and fit back in some of my old clothes after 2 years of take out (since I met my boyfriend) :oP
For the last 3 days I have found this to be easy...so far. I don't feel nearly so much pressure on myself.
I have had a treat every night! which I have worked in calorie-wise-- my treat is 70% cocoa chocolate!! I do limit it to 3 pieces which is quite a bit but you're better to indulge in something that satisfies you otherwise I'd keep going back to the fridge over and over again. I feel really good about the discipline I have been showing eating my 3 pieces and putting it away. It would be so easy to devour it all which would be more than the calorie equivalent of a big mac!!!
